for Longway Minor Sets
About Charts
Charts are made for longway line of twelve couples. They can easily be interpreted for other number of couples in the line. The top line of the chart are numbers for floor position. The couples are numbered 1 through 12 and these numbers are same as the starting position on the floor. The underlined numbers means the couple is out.
Duple minor - single progression
Most duple minor dances are single progression and easy for beginners. Couples out at the ends sometimes dance with couple above or below but will not progress.

Duple minor - double progression
Double progression dances are rare. They are moderately difficult because couple arriving at end are not out for a round.

Triple minor - progression
Caller description
- 2s become 3s and 3s become 2s
- couples arriving at top are out two round
- 1s arriving at bottom dance with ghost third couple
The diagram show position of couples for first five rounds. Note 1s progress one position per round and 2s and 3s progress average of 1/2 position per round.
